This Walk- Run is not just a physical activity. We walk for her Safety is our Priority
It is for something bigger, more important; it is to create a Safe world for Women.
PLAN
We request Inner Wheel Clubs around the World to organise Walks-Runs
Getting Men on board, Engaging Men and boys as allies
Reaching beyond Inner Wheel. Invite and engage others
Getting collaboration from other organizations and collaborate with them
Involving Government departments,
Involve the local community, so we can create greater awareness and make an impact.
IMPACT
When large numbers of people unify for a cause, society and governments will sit up to observe and take action.
A Simple but Powerful activity is Walks/Runs
Walks are Easy to set up, but the Impact is deep.
Tips to organize from our Experience:
Choose a Suitable Route
Look for:
Parks
Pedestrian paths
Community walking areas.
Always check local rules or get permission.
2.5 km route preferred (but keep it participant specific)
Accessibility is crucial (no stairs/steep areas or you will need to have help available).
Volunteers for Traffic safety and general assistance to be placed at regular intervals
Route should be planned, plotted and shared through a common app.
If there is no registration amount, you will probably attract more people.
(optional donations via QR codes can be an idea)
Keep the Route Clear and Visible
Signages should be placed so each one is visible from the previous location.
Thus, there is no confusion and the walk continues comfortably.
