The indomitable bravery of Rani Lakshmibai, the valor of Jhalkari Bai, the sense of justice of Ahilyabai Holkar, and the heroism of queens like Durgavati and Padmavati are exemplary representations of Indian woman power.
These heroines proved that a woman is not confined to household responsibilities alone, but can also play a leading role in the protection of the nation and the building of society. Their stories continue to inspire feelings of respect, motivation, and pride in the hearts of every Indian even today.

Day 14 | Orange the World Campaign 🧡
Today, we spent time with the wonderful students of Funtaj International School as part of our ongoing partnership with UN Women to raise awareness on digital violence against women and girls.
We had a great session talking about:
• What digital violence really is
• How it can show up around them
• Why safe and respectful online behaviour matters
• What the law says about digital abuse
To make it fun and practical, we played two interactive games:
🎯 Spot the Red Flag – helping students recognise harmful online behaviour
🗣️ Stand Up, Speak Out – encouraging them to speak up and support others online
The students were engaged, thoughtful, and full of great questions. It was a rewarding experience seeing how eager they were to learn and be part of the solution.
A big thank you to the management of Funtaj International School for welcoming us so warmly. Together, we are helping build safer and kinder online communities.

The November 2025 State Elections in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo, presented an unexpected hurdle for the local Inner Wheel Clubs, delaying their Orange The World (OTW) events until early December. Rather than dampening spirits, the delay fuelled a determination to think "outside the box" and find new ways to amplify their message.
A Spectacular Summit "Soft Launch"
The Campaign achieved a literal and symbolic high point even before the official 16 Days of Activism began. Inspired by the OTW cause shared by Inner Wheel friends during their visit to Sabah, two Rotarians and friends of Inner Wheel from Brunei, and Miri, Sarawak, brought OTW to the summit of Borneo on 24th October 2025, in a show of solidarity.
Despite the inclement weather that weekend, the skies cleared just long enough for the climbers to reach the 4,095.2-metre summit of Mount Kinabalu before torrential rains and heavy clouds enveloped the mountain: a powerful symbol of resilience in the face of adversity.
Advocacy Across the Region
Once the elections concluded, the momentum shifted into high gear across District 331 with a series of OTW Walks and impactful community events organised by the Clubs in Sabah and Sarawak.
Borderless Fellowship
The 2025 Campaign culminated in a powerful display of international solidarity. The final OTW Global Walk took place on 13th December 2025 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, where Inner Wheel members from Miri, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu joined their Rotary partners-in-service from the Rotary Club of Bandar Seri Begawan, and guests for a walk through the pristine Jalan Menteri Besar Park. The day concluded with a fellowship lunch, deepening the bond between the two organisations.
A Lasting Impact
For the Inner Wheel Clubs of District 331, the 2025 OTW Campaign was more than a series of events; it was a bridge. It successfully raised urgent awareness for the need to “End Violence Against Women” across Malaysian Borneo and Brunei, while fostering a renewed partnership with Rotary that promises many more joint community service projects and activities in the years to come.
